Afghan Girls Voices as Art

In Afghanistan today, millions of girls are not allowed to go to school. They are banned from learning, dreaming, and building a future. But some brave girls are still finding ways to raise their voices through art.

At Alefba, our students recently created drawings to show the world what it means to be a girl in Afghanistan. Their pictures speak of pain, strength, and hope. Some drew closed school doors. Others showed girls crying, dreaming, or reading in secret. Many showed the fight for education, freedom, and equal rights.

These drawings are not just pictures. They are a message. A message that says:
“We are here. We matter. We want to learn.”
