Fatima grew up in rural Afghanistan believing school was only for boys. Her escape was an old radio, which she’d secretly take to the mountains to listen to voices speaking about learning. Years later, thanks to one chance to attend school, she became Afghanistan’s first female tour guide. Today, she studies at a top university in Italy.
