Projects
Alefba was founded in 2024, but our projects started on January 2022, we have been dedicated to supporting Afghan women and girls through community events in Italy and direct educational projects in Afghanistan.
What We Have Achieved (2022â2024)
Cooking for a Cause â Italy
We organized 7 cooking events in Italy, thanks to the collaboration with Osteria San Nicola.
At each event, our members prepared traditional Afghan and Persian dishes for Italian guests. A portion of the proceeds directly supported our projects for women and girls in Afghanistan.
 Storytelling & Awareness Events
We hosted ten events with other Italian NGOs dedicated to sharing the stories of Afghan women, raising awareness, and mobilizing support for their rights and education.
 Education for Girls in Afghanistan
We funded English language classes and learning workshops for 100 girls, taught by female instructors inside Afghanistan â offering safe access to learn for students and job for the instructors.
Our Vision for 2026
In 2026, we aim to implement eight new projects in Afghanistan and Italy, expanding our impact and reaching more women and girls. All to support Afghan womenâs education, empowerment, and well-being.
 English Language Classes
Helping 80 girls to learn English and build communication skills, confidence, and access to future local and international opportunities.
 Literacy for Elder Women
Providing reading and writing classes for 30 elder women learning to read and write for the first time in Afghanistan. It is never late to start.
 Womenâs Entrepreneurship
Supporting 30 vulnerable women through crochet training and product-selling opportunities â helping them build skills and income in Afghanistan.
 Mentorship & Personal Development
Launching a one-on-one mentoring program that connects Afghan women with trusted mentors abroad.
Each participant will have a safe space to share experiences, receive guidance, and grow personally and professionally.
 Awareness & Well-Being Workshops
