We are a small but deeply committed grassroots family — volunteers from Afghanistan, Iran, Italy, the U.S., and many other places — all brought together by one shared belief: that Afghan women and girls deserve the chance to learn, grow, work and dream freely. Our team works across countries and time zones, but we are connected by the same purpose. In Afghanistan, our female instructors and coordinator show up every day for their students, creating safe rooms where girls can read, write, laugh, and learn together. In Italy, our volunteers organize cooking events, awareness campaigns, and community gatherings that bring people together and raise support for the classrooms back home. Together, our amazing family has already helped 100 girls continue their education despite all the restrictions they face thanks to generous donors and supporters. And with your support, we’re ready to reach 140 women and girls — offering literacy classes, English lessons, entrepreneurship training, mentorship, and workshops to strengthen their well-being. We are ordinary people trying to do something meaningful. And every woman in our photos, every volunteer behind the scenes, every supporter who believes in this mission — is part of Alefba’s story.
